A country church that has been gathering for generations
Our story
Eminence Christian Church sits on a quiet patch of Illinois prairie just outside Atlanta. For generations, families from across Logan County have gathered here on Sunday mornings — passing the same hymnals, sharing the same potluck dishes, and raising their children in the same faith that raised them.
We are small on purpose. Every face is known. Every voice is heard. And when one of us hurts, the whole church shows up — with casseroles, with prayer, and with a chair pulled close.
Our doors are open to anyone seeking a place to belong. Farmers and teachers, lifelong believers and quiet doubters, families with toddlers underfoot and grandparents holding hands in the back pew. There is room here for all of you.

Our mission
To be salt and light in our corner of the world
We follow the call of Matthew 5:13-16 — to bring flavor and light to the everyday rhythms of rural life. That looks like meals delivered to families in need, backpacks filled for children, and a congregation that shows up for Logan County whenever it is needed.
